Our Program

The Respond52 system has been designed for use by emergency services crew and management. It provides information on incidents, crew availability, station attendance, incident deployment and much more. The system collects data from multiple sources in a transparent way which makes it simple and easy to use.

Respond52 operates at three different levels, focusing on the individual, the station, and management.

When an incident occurs, Respond52 answers questions such as:

Who is responding to the incident?
How many crew are available to attend?
Where are we going?
How many appliances have been requested?
What are the incident details?
Which crew are at the station?
Which crew are deployed on what appliance?
Has a total fire ban been decared for our region?

After the incident many other questions can be answred:

Who attended the incident?
How long did they take to get to the station?
Did they remain at the station or ride to the incident?
What position did they occupy?
If they didn't attend, were they working? away for personal reasons? or on leave?
How long were they deployed for?
What were the weather conditions like?

Mobile

Respond Window

  • Allow crew members to signal their intention to respond to an incident
  • Show the current number of senior crew and normal crew available
  • Show each available crew member and their qualifications
  • Show the status of all crew members
  • Show the real time logins at the station
  • Show the real time crews on appliances

Station Window

  • Display the number of seniors, normal crew and total crew for each hour of the day
  • Show previous and next days hourly availability
  • Highlight any deficient time periods where insufficient crew members are available

Incidents Window

  • Show all incidents that the device owner has personally attended
  • Show incidents for multiple stations
  • Display the crews that attended each incident
  • Show the response time in minutes for each crew member that attended
  • Show the appliance that each crew member rode in
  • Show the riding position of each crew member
  • Allow the device owner to subscribe to push notifications for incident alerts

Status Window

  • Allow the device owner to quickly update their availability

Availability Window

  • Display a monthly calendar of the device owners availability
  • Allow the device owner to create new events
  • Allow the device owner to apply availability templates to the calendar
  • Allow the device owner to edit their availability

Duty Crew

  • Display the current duty officer and station crew

Notices

  • Allow the device owner to create notices
  • The notice must be editable by the creator of the notice
  • The notice must display within the touch screen software at the station
  • The notice must be able to be sent via SMS to each station crew member

Statistics

  • Display the personal statistics for the device owner
  • Show the number of incidents at the station for the month
  • Show the number of incidents that the device owner personally attended
  • Show the number of time the device owner rode on an appliance
  • Show the number of times the device owner manned the station during an incident
  • Show the device owners average response time to the station
  • Show the number of time an incident occurred and the device owner was unavailable

Settings

  • Allow the device owner to sign in to the mobile application
  • Allow the device owner to sign in to another station

Station

Deployment

  • Integrate with the computer aided dispatch system for receiving incident information
  • Display incident dispatch messages as they occur
  • Display a street level map of the incident location
  • Display any active fire bans for the incident region
  • Record the weather at the station at the time of the incident
  • Show the location status of each station appliance
  • Display which appliances are requested in the dispatch message
  • Show which crews are responding to an incident
  • Show any crew members that are delayed and by how long
  • Allow crews to sign in at the station
  • Allow crews from stations in a different geographical area to sign in to this station
  • Synchronise crew member names with remote stations
  • Allow crews to assign themselves to an appliance and riding position
  • Allow crews to move to another appliance or position
  • Display the current station duty officer and station crews
  • Allow for multiple incidents overlapping each other
  • Allow an incident to be marked as completed

Incident History

  • List station incidents by month
  • Display the crews that attended each incident
  • Show the response time in minutes for each crew member that attended
  • Show the appliance that each crew member rode in
  • Show the riding position of each crew member

Station Availability

  • Show the hourly availability for each station member
  • Show the number of senior crew and normal crew available for each hour of the day
  • Highlight any deficient time periods where insufficient crew members are available
  • Allow for different availability status. Work Not available, Work Flexible, Personal, Leave

Personal Availability

  • Allow each station member to input periods where they will be unavailable
  • Allow for shift work where the periods may overlap into a new day
  • Implement a template system to allow users to quickly add periods of unavailability
  • Allow crews to edit their availability

Attendance

  • Keep a log of station attendance
  • Show the time in, time out, incident number, response time, appliance crewed, duration
  • Allow for multiple incidents during the same login

Station Statistics

  • Show monthly statistics
  • Show the number of incidents for the station for the month
  • Show the percentage crew attendance
  • Show the average station response time in minutes
  • Show the average number of crew to all incidents
  • Show the types and frequency of each incident
  • Show the daily time periods that incidents occur. 6am-6pm, 6pm-midnight, midnight-6am
  • Show a driver log displaying the crew members that drove the station appliances

Station Notices

  • Display notices relevant to the station
  • Allow crew members to add their names to a station notice
  • Allow crew members to add notes along side their name

Total Incidents by Member

  • Show a chart of each station crew member and the number of incidents they attended over a selected date range

Availability and Response

  • For a selected crew member over a selected date range show
  • The number of incidents that occurred
  • The number of incidents the crew member was available
  • The number of incidents the crew member attended
  • The number of incidents that the crew member rode on an appliance
  • The number of incidents that the crew member manned the station
  • The number of incidents that occurred while the crew member was at work
  • The number of incidents that occurred while the crew member was on personal leave
  • The number of incidents that occurred while the crew member was on formal leave
  • A chart of the response times to the station over the selected date range

Station Overview

  • For a selected date range, compare all station crew members against the following statistics
  • Number of incidents that occurred in the period
  • Number of incidents the crew member was available
  • Number of incidents the crew member attended
  • Number of times the crew member rode on an appliance to an incident
  • Number of times the crew member manned the station during an incident
  • Number of times the crew member was at work during an incident
  • Number of times the crew member was on personal leave during an incident
  • Number of times the crew member was on formal leave during an incident
  • Number of times the crew member was available but didn't attend an incident
  • Percentage of incidents attended
  • Of the percentage of incidents attended, what percentage of the time was the crew member on an appliance
  • Of the percentage of incidents attended, what percentage of the time was the crew member manning the station
